Abstract

In the article the question of the right of citizens to peaceful assembly in Ukraine is considered. The current law governing the organization of the activity of local government and local administration in the sphere of holding mass events is analyzed. It is proved that in most cases in Ukraine right to free public events is violated. Some proposals to improve the legislation in this sphere were made.
