Abstract

On the basis of theoretical and methodological working outs of scientists, the provisions of the current legislation, the role of information means in the system of administrative and legal means of ensuring ecological safety was studied. According to the author, informational means of ensuring ecological safety include informing about the state of the natural environment, observation, forecasting, registration, monitoring, etc. The author concludes that the task of realization the information administrative and legal means of ensuring the ecological safety in Ukraine is not properly implemented, so taking into account, providing proposals for improving the process of their implementation at the present stage of state-building. It is sustained the expediency of creation the Single portal of ecological information, which will become a multipurpose open information system, it will provide official collection, processing, accumulation, analysis, preservation and display of information about the state of the natural environment, provide free and operational access to ecological information. Its creation will allow to solve such problem as integration of information resources of management bodies in the field of environmental protection on different levels; placement of information resources of management bodies in the field of environmental protection; development of information infrastructure in accordance with the modern requirements; ensuring the citizen right to access information related to the environment.
