Abstract

The article provides a criminological analysis of the concept of “the person of a self-serving and violent criminal”. The phenomenon of selfish-violent crime materializes and is perceived by the public consciousness due to the aggregate criminal behavior of a certain part of people - selfish-violent criminals. Hence the primary research task: to determine the place of self-abusive criminals in the system of social relations, to carry out their socio-demographic dimension, to determine the environment of life. The prevalence of self-serving and violent crimes, their high social dangers and the lack of effectiveness of prevention by law enforcement agencies make it important to carry out a thorough analysis of the identity of a modern violent criminal, to identify its new criminological features. This testifies to the relevance of the criminological investigation of the person of the modern self-serving and violent offender and makes it necessary to develop preventive measures that will effectively combat crime in general. The person of a self-serving and violent offender contains a set of persons who have committed various objections in the criminal-law sense, but criminologically homogeneous self-violent crimes against a person, his life, health, will, honor, dignity, property and characterized by aggressive behavior, or such that when resolving specific situations and social conflicts, a violent way of resolving them (physical, mental violence) is chosen, or for which violence is an element of motivation as an instrument (method) for achieving ting criminal result. It has been found out that the general selfish orientation of the perpetrator’s personality is relatively stable in his / her consciousness of selfish motives, combined with the orientation to the obligatory use of violence, and it is established that the basic characteristics of persons who commit selfish and violent crimes are necessary. part of the mechanism for the application of precautionary measures by the police, to which such persons are directly addressed.
