Новая книга Георге Костаки, Сергея Захарии и Андрея Боршевского «Хартия Совета Европы о воспитании демократической гражданственности и образовании в области прав человека» помогает ответить на эти сложные вопросы. Вольтер как-то заметил, что никто не рождается на свет с уже готовыми понятиями о праве и справедливости, но человеческая природа устроена так, что в известном возрасте эти истины естественным образом вырабатываются. При всем уважении к великому французу, его мысль далеко не бесспорна. Праву, справедливости, терпимости, уважению, ответственности и многим другим качествам гражданина демократического общества надо учить. Осознание и воплощение своей гражданственности не появляются из ниоткуда, они становятся частью личности только в результате целенаправленной социализации через обучение и воспитание. rapoport-anatolyРапопорт Анатолий — доктор философии, профессор Университета Пурдью (США), редактор журнала «Международные общественные исследования» («Journal of International Social Studies») (США).

 Анатолий Рапопорт профессор педагогики и методики преподавания в Университете Пурдью (США). Сфера его научных интересов включает вопросы гражданского и демократического образования, международного и глобального образования, поликультурного образования, феноменологии теории социального конструктивизма в образовании. Доктор Рапопорт — автор трёх книг и более 40 статей и глав.
